Community Guidelines
This page is maintained by the Mealkly team to describe how the community is expected to behave. Not a legal document.
The short version
Share good food. Be kind. Don't post anything you'd be uncomfortable showing your family.
What is not allowed
- Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, disability, or national origin.
- Sexual content, nudity, or sexually suggestive material.
- Violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Dangerous activity or content that could cause physical harm (e.g. unsafe food handling presented as safe).
- Spam, scams, misleading claims, or unauthorised advertising.
- Impersonation, doxxing, or sharing someone else's private information.
- Intellectual property theft — do not copy another creator's video, photos or audio as your own, and do not add a commercial music track to a post.
Sound and music
Mealkly has no music library and never will. Post your own voice and the natural sound of what you're doing. Do not add a music track to a reel or story, and do not post video where commercial music is the point of the clip.
If music happens to be playing in the background where you filmed — a gym, a café, a kitchen radio — that's fine. But if it's loud enough to be the focus of the video, mute it before posting. Rights holders can report content on our copyright page.
How moderation works
Any user can report any post. The first report on a post sends the poster an in-app warning. Any post with more than two reports is automatically hidden pending review by our team. Repeated violations may result in account removal.
You can also
- Block any user from your Settings screen or their profile.
- Delete your own posts at any time from Profile → your post.
- Delete your entire account and data from Settings → Delete my account.
